the federal administration saw fit to auction off an enormous tract of Alaskan territory to big name oil companies for oil drilling (www.adn.com/front/story/307588.html).

If the malignant greed of the government ignores the many voices of protest and disregards the imminent peril of wildlife, what can be done? As polar ice-caps diminish, bear cubs drown. More drilling for oil in their habitat greatly increases potential for hazardous oil spills, no guarantees to protect wildlife and the rapid demise of one of the world's fierce and majestic animals.

I wonder what parents will tell their children a few years hence when asked, "What did you do to help the polar bears?" Will we be able to say we resolved to drive our cars less, we used public transport, we actively worked to advance more eco-friendly fuel options, we refused to buy from environmental terrorists?

Our failure to be respectful stewards of this most precious and beautiful earth will not be easily forgiven by our offspring. And if they indeed survive, they inherit a desolate, ravaged planet, testimony only to our arrogance and self-absorption.

Doing nothing is criminal and complicit in the mindless voraciousness and disrespect for the sanctity of life that characterizes the current U.S. leadership.

CREATION OF THE COMPASSION PEACE MANDALA
A Benefit Workshop with Bhutanese Thangka Artist Lama Pema Tendzin

This is a beautiful and rare opportunity to learn the ancient art of traditional sacred thangka painting from a master artist and lineage holder. Lama Pema Tendzin has paintings in permanent and private collections throughout the United States including the San Francisco Asian art museum. Additionally he has had the honor of creating beautiful ceremonial thankas for the Dalai Lama.

Lama Pema Tendzin began studying the sacred art of thangka under the tutelage of his teacher Buli Tulku Rinpoche since he was six years old. More than paintings, thangkas are potent tools for meditation, contemplation and transformation.

For this special workshop, Lama Pema Tendzin will be leading us in the creation of the Compassion Peace Mandala. The day opens with meditation, mantra and prayers.

We will then draw and paint the mandalas together under this master artist's tutelage. When the painting is completed Lama Pema and Tsewong Sitar Rimpoche will lead us in a mantra, prayer and blessing to activate the mandala. This workshop gives participants active creative time with these very special beings in the creation of a potent piece of art that will Benefit all Beings.

A SPECIAL BENEFIT:

All proceeds from this event will go towards a special painting of Guru Rimpoche Padmasambhva. This painting measuring 30 feet high by 25 feet high will be placed on the mountainside next to the Sangye Tang monastery in Bhutan.

Guru Rimpoche Padmasambhava is recognized as the principle teacher to bring Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th Century. The painting, which will be completed in February of 2008, was revealed in a vision to Lama Pema's brother Tsewong Sitar Rinpoche. Tsewong Sitar Rimpoche is the head of Sangye Tang monastery in Eastern Bhutan. Founded in the late 1500's, this monastery is in view of one of Padmasambhava's sacred pilgrimage sites. The painting will promote blessings, peace and rejuvenation.

Subject: Happy Friendship Week!

One day, when I was a freshman in high school,

I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school.

His name was Kyle.

It looked like he was carrying all of his
books.

I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday?

He must really be a nerd."

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.

As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him.

They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt.

His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him.

He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes

My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye.

As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks.

They really should get lives.

" He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!"

There was a big smile on his face.

It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.

I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived.

As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before.

He said he had gone to private school before now.

I would have never hung out with a private school kid before.

We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books.

He turned out to be a pretty cool kid..

I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends

He said yes.

We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again.

I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!

" He just laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends.

When we were seniors, we began to think
about college.

Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I
was going to Duke.

I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem.

He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship.

Kyle was valedictorian of our class.

I teased him all the time about being a nerd.

He had to prepare a speech for graduation.

I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak

Graduation day, I saw Kyle.

He looked great.

He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school.

He filled out and actually looked good in glasses.

He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him.

Boy, sometimes I was jealous.

Today was one of those days.

I could see that he was nervous about his speech.

So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!"

He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled.

"Thanks," he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began

"Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years.

Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends...

I am here to tell all of you that being a
friend to someone is the best gift you can give them.

I am going to tell you a story."

I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met.

He had planned to kill himself over the weekend.

He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home.

He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.

"Thankfully, I was saved.

My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment.

I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile.

Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.

Never underestimate the power of your actions.

With one small gesture you can change a person's life.

For better or for worse.

God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one another in some way.

Look for God in others.

Pure Tone Healing of Crystal Bowls - my story

I must share my experience of unlimited love and healing white lighte during a performance two nights ago. The performer is named David Hickey, he has been touring across Canada playing an huge array of quartz crystal bowls, glass bowls, brass tibetan bowls and a gong cymbal. This particular show I will talk about was held in a beautiful church in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast of BC; the room held perfect reverb. I was sitting next to a really great friend and were invited to come by two all-loving friends I had just met that day.

So David begins by sharing a little bit of background and intention and says his performance happens in two 45 minute sets with a 15 minute break: the first half being an easy introduction and the second half being a full-on journey. During the first session, I was very restless and was having a hard time sitting still (as usual, due to chronic pain). I watched him do his thing for a bit, but soon closed my eyes to take it all in. The sound was sooo soothing and calming, but still sitting in pain, I was extremely glad for that 15 minute break to arrive.

Now for the second session. After I moved around and stretched out my body for the duration of the break, I sat down on the same pew and waited patiently. Coming back into the room, David asked the audience of almost 100 to focus on some kind of intention while listening to the second half. Instantly, I thought of my mother, who is also in much pain. He started playing the wonderous crystal bowls once again and I closed my eyes to fully concentrate on the resonating sounds as pure white healing lighte. I visualized this universal white lighte enter into the top my head and saw my mother floating above my head, totally encompassed by a spiral of this loving lighte. I felt then, that I wanted to extend this to everyone, so I began to visualize the lighte surrounding and entering my friend, sitting beside me. Then I saw everyone in the room being loved and healed in the same way, and eventually I extended it out to the whole world, all the while seeing the pathways of lighte connecting my head with everyone else's. Moreover, I was actually able to sit still with an almost complete absence of pain (something that RARELY EVER happens to me).

In the midst of tranquility, my visualizations turned to nothingness; I didn't remember a single thing from this point until the concert ended. The duration of the second half seemed to have passed very quickly, and I couldn't open my eyes even upon hearing all the comencing chatter in the room. I had entirely forgotten about the people, the room, the sound, my self and my breath. Samadhi, perhaps? I sure think so! I have reached similar states of non-being in the past, but never without a psychedelic catalyst. This time I was sober.

The rest of that night, I was filled with utter blisss. It didn't matter to me what was happening in the universe, as long as it was happening; I was content to simply exist. I also felt indecicive and just wanted to let the universe guide me in whatever direction it may, and it surely did, straight into the welcoming home of my two new all-loving friends who had originally extended the concert invitation. Here, I gained some new insights into the psychic nature of humans (but that's another story)!

Here is a poem I wrote the following evening while on the bus, leaving the Coast:

A sense of great calm; collective, careful and comforting.
Resonating pure tones turn to white lighte; encompassing.
Sharing this with others, allowing love to flow; grow.
Forgeting my self and breath; completely letting go.

33 would be Christian 67 would be non-Christian

* 5 would control 32% of the entire world's wealth, and all of them would be US citizens

* 80 would live in substandard housing

* 24 would not have any electricity
* (And of the 76% that do have electricity, most would only use it for light at night.)

* 67 would be unable to read

1 (only one) would have a college education.

* 50 would be malnourished and 1 dying of starvation

* 33 would be without access to a safe water supply

· 1 would have HIV

· * 1 near death

* 2 would be near birth

* 7 people would have access to the Internet

If to take a look at the world from this condensed perspective,
the need for acceptance, understanding and education becomes evident. Think of it! If you woke up this morning with more health than sickness,
you are luckier than the million that will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced a war,
a loneliness of an imprisonment,
an agony of tortures
or a famine
You are happier, than 500 million persons in this world. If you are able to go to church, mosque or synagogue without fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death,
you are happier, than 3 billion persons in this world.

* If there is a meal in your refrigerator,

* if you are dressed and have got shoes,

* if you have a bed and a roof above your head,

you are better off, than 75% of people in this world.
If your parents are still alive and still married,
then you are a rarity.

* If you have a bank account,

* money in your purse

* and there is some trifle in your coin box,

you belong to 8% of well-provided people in this world.
If you read this text, you are blessed three times as much, because

1. Someone has thought of you;

1. You do not belong to those 2 billion people which cannot read

1. and... you have had your computer!

Someone has told once:

* Work like you don't need money,

* Love like you've never been hurt,

* Dance like nobody's watching,

* Sing like nobody's listening,

* Be surprised, like you were born yesterday,

* Tell the truth and you don't have to remember anything,

* Live like it's Heaven on Earth.

This is your World! And you are able to make changes! Hasten to do good works!

Good Day

Two weeks back or so, I had a really good day. I wanted to give a shoutout for good days!

Let's see--that day I won an iPod in a raffle, a client sent me a 1 year late check, I got a job interview and a phone call from another very, very cool company (or they were until really recently) telling me that they were interested in my resume and could I call them back. There were some other things that made that day particularly special. It was an unseasonably warm sunny day. I discovered that the edible wild mushrooms I had thrown in the backyard two years ago have finally fruited, harvested them, prepared them, and ate them. A normally reticent family memeber finally overcame an aversion to trying wild mushrooms and sampled it. Not bad, not bad.

Of late there have been many dark sides of the world revealing themselves to me. I have always tended to believe, as Einstein did, that a problem is never solved in the same energy that it was created in. I offer the "Only Love Prevails Experiment" as an answer to the apathy and depression that occurs around these dark and hopeless images. It is simple and follows the common laws of physics, thus following the laws of truth. I think that it's a fun way of moving out negative images and thoughts in little effort.

cracked pot~

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his house.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you. I have been able to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts, " the pot said.

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.

But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them.

soooo. i went to the meeting at my school on the election and heres the scoop.
- the reason US invaded iraq and not north korea is because north korea "has" nuclear bombs --- hmm that's ironic and hypocritical. and because the middle east is "holy land"
- kerry has not indicated if he will expand war further but has not introduced any strategies of staying or leaving.
- bush will encourage the draft
- "rich man's war, poor man's fight"
- both kerry and bush want to be able to track people -- what like implant tracking devices in our asses??? sounds too much like 1984 and big brother to me
- why is democracy not actively inforced in the countries like Iraq that US has torn apart? because they don't speak the same language and they want their traditions that work for them - duh...
- is soft power an idea we could use - no because of poverty and resentment (fabrication of more people that hate US) and because of cultural differences.

Help me see beauty

Its been a year like no other. Sorrow, despair, anger and fear have been my personal demons constantly nipping at my heels. I have managed to keep them from devouring me by trying to see beauty and goodness in atleast one thing a day...please won't you help remind me of why life is worth living...remind me of what's beautiful...help me find a way to escape these ugly demons....I want to see beauty all around me as I once did before my innocence and joie de vivre was raped away from me...I want to believe but it seems the world has gone mad....evil seems to flourish and the bad guys seem to be winning...surely the universe will right itself soon...won't it?

3) Support the Child Medication Act (S. 1390) currently stalled in the Senate by Senator Edward Kennedy - This legislation prohibits schools from coercing parents to place their children on psychiatric medications that are on the controlled substances list. Senator Kennedy, with large support from pharmaceutical companies, has not let this very modest proposal even receive a hearing, saying that it needs more study. 4) Check to see if your state has a provision in state special education law that prohibits a school district from overriding parental refusal to submit their child to a special education or mental health evaluation. If yes, alert other parents, and if not, work for one.

I had a vision that when we all realize that our 'peace symbol' has been used "upside down" for many years, and we CHANGE it, then our kharma may change. :-)

It was just a thought, or rather a profound vision!

To understand why I am saying this, you have to be familiar with the oracle of RUNES; with Algiz. You see, the peace symbol is a circle with an 'upside down Y' and a straighline thru it. The Y with a straight line thru it is the symbol rune stone of "PROTECTION" - ALGIZ.

BUT instead of writing peace symbols with the symbol (Y) upright we all write these peace signs with the RUNE of protection in a "reverse" manner. This is giving us the reversed energy of protection.

The reverse meaning is "slow growth or decline. You may be open to attack".... so whats up with that? Also the symbol was created from a feeling of "despair" as quoted by the inventor of the peace symbol.

Its time we start writing the peace symbols UPRIGHT, yes? :-)

Arnold Whittick comments in Symbols, Signs And Their Meaning, that "Communication depends on the symbolism of language, and thus man becomes aware of another's thoughts by means of symbols .... All social and economic activities are carried on by means of symbols; the various offshoots and adjuncts of language, like numbers and money, make this apparent. Religious worship and government, too, are dependent on them. A.N. Whitehead, in his valuable book (Symbolism: Its Meaning And Effect) shows that society is held together by acceptance of, and reverence for, its symbols."

The reverse of this is also true. A society can be attacked by the undermining or perversion or destruction of its symbols.

Symbols are very important in the psychic field of human being. It is with ‘symbols ’that the High Initiates of Ancient Egypt used to communicate with telepathically.

I believe if we delve deeper into the "peace symbol" we will be amazed at how its creation was born from "deep despair", which is not very good sufficient grounds for peace.

HISTORY OF OUR PEACE SYMBOL

It was designed in 1958, February 21, (White Rythmic Wizard) by a British Gerald Holtom, a professional designer, artist and a graduate of the Royal College of Arts. He showed his preliminary sketches to a small group of people in the Peace News office in North London and to the Direct Action Committee Against Nuclear War, one of several smaller organisations that came together to set up CND.

A SYMBOL OF DESPAIR?

Gerald Holtom, a conscientious objector who had worked on a farm in Norfolk during the Second World War, explained that the symbol incorporated the semaphore letters N(uclear) and D(isarmament). He later wrote to Hugh Brock, editor of Peace News, explaining the genesis of his idea in greater, more personal depth:

“I was in despair. Deep despair. I drew myself: the representative of an individual in despair, with hands palm outstretched outwards and downwards in the manner of Goya ’s peasant before the firing squad. I formalised the drawing into a line and put a circle round it. ”

Eric Austin added his own interpretation of the design: "the gesture of despair had long been associated with the death of Man and the circle with the unborn child."

(I wonder if this Gerald Holtman, creator of our peace symbol is any relation to Capt. Gerald P. Holtom, a Marine intelligence officer born and raised in Japan.)

In earlier times the peace character "actually began as a symbol of Satanic benediction during the rituals.'' This sign has been used by Yasser Arafat, Richard Nixon, Winston Churchill, and Stewart Meacham, Co-Chairman of Reds' New Mobilisation Committee." Churchill said that the sign stood for victory but remember that Churchill was one of the insider "elite" and a Mason.

"Known as the 'peace sign' throughout the 1960's and into the present day, this symbol is the Teutonic rune of death. 1950's peace advocate Gerald Holtom may have been commissioned by communist sympathiser Bertrand Russell to design a symbol to unite leftist peace marchers in 1958. It is clear that either Holtom or Russell deemed the Teutonic (Neronic) cross as the appropriate symbol for their cause.

"Throughout the last 2,000 years this symbol has designated hatred of Christians. Nero, who despised Christians, crucified the Apostle Peter on a cross head downward. This hideous event resembled the Teutonic cross and became the popular insignia of the day. Thereafter, this sign became known as the 'Neronic cross.'

"The symbol's origin in history proves it to be the visual mystic character for 'Aum' (the split 'Y'- UPRIGHT). This is the sacred word to the Hindu. Chanting 'Aum' is supposed to help awaken 'the serpent power of Brahma' at the base of the human spine. Occultist Albert Pike also identifies this symbol as mystical in his book on Freemasonry Morals and Dogma.

The peace symbol (also called the "broken cross," "crow's foot," "witch's foot," "Nero Cross," "sign of the 'broken Jew,'" and the "symbol of the 'anti-Christ''') is actually a cross with the arms broken - DOWNWARD. It also signifies the "gesture of despair," and the "death of man.''

"The Germanic tribes who used it attributed strange and mystical properties to the sign. Such a 'rune', in reverse is said to have been used by 'black magicians' in incantations and condemnations....To this very day the inverted broken cross--identical to the socialists' 'peace' symbol--is known in Germany as a 'todersrune,' or death rune. Not only was it ordered by Hitler's National Socialists that it must appear on German death notices, but it was part of the official inscription prescribed for the gravestones of Nazi officers of the dread SS. The symbol suited Nazi emphasis on pagan mysticism.''

With the arms of the cross raised in an upright position, it is "a Pythagorean emblem of the course of life, in the form of a rising path with fork roads to Good and Evil.'' It also signifies fertility, but with the arms pointing downward, it denotes evil and death.

"In fact, the inverted 'Man-rune'--the figure encircled in the common sign which the Communists tell us means 'peace'--has for centuries been a favourite sign of Satanists.''

Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan, used the peace symbol as the backdrop for his altar.

One former Satanic witch makes the following comment about the peace symbol:

"It is an ancient and powerful symbol of Antichrist. During the dark ages it was used by Satanists of all sorts during the initiation of a new member to their order. They would draw the magic circle and give the initiate a cross. The initiate would then lift the cross and "turn it upside down". He would then renounce Christianity in all three dimensions (sic) of time (past, present and future) and break the horizontal pieces downward forming the design of the 'Raven's Foot.' For one to wear or display this symbol is to announce either knowingly or unknowingly that you have rejected Christ. Remember, symbolism is a picture language, and a picture is worth a thousand words.''

It was designed from the naval code of semaphore, and the symbol upright represents the code letters for ND (Nuclear disarment). The peace symbol widely used is reverse: DN.

A little before the first Aldermaston march at Easter 1958, Holtom showed up at the offices of _Peace News_ in London with drawings for banners and the symbol: "On a purple square was superimposed a white circle with a purple cross inside it, or almost a cross. The arms had slipped and were drooping against the lower sides of the circle. Holtom had made the design by combining the semaphore letters N and D: N for nuclear and D, naturally, for disarmament."

Herb Greer an American journalist and playwright was actually there on and before the first Aldermaston March for which it was created. He visited Holtom, and saw the original sketches and discussed it with him. The reason for the symbol being upside down (D over N) is that semaphore is a military code. He said Upside down, it was anti-military." ?????

Holtom had been commissioned by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. The CND, headed by philosopher Bertrand Russell, was planning an Easter march to Canterbury Cathedral to protest the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment atAldermaston.

After doodling around with several versions of the Christian cross set in A circle, Holtom hit on the crow's-foot idea. This had a couple things going for it.

During the heyday of the peace movement, other interpretations of the Symbol were also offered. A national Republican newsletter noted that it looked a lot like an emblem used by the Nazis during World War II--an apparent coincidence.

Another interpretation, widely promoted by the John Birch Society and other right-wing groups, was that the symbol was really the "broken cross," sign of the Antichrist.

The most omnipresent symbol used currently by the international socialists is the one, is a sign of "peace." The Communists love "peace." You will remember that Lenin declared more than forty years ago in The Tasks Of The Youth League that: "As an ultimate objective, 'peace' simply means Communist world control." And the Communists are campaigning for precisely that sort of "peace." Their symbol is a part of the trappings of this scheme. Resembling a reversed chicken track enclosed in a circle, or a swept-wing bomber in vertical flight, the "peace" insignia - like the other symbols of the international socialists - reflects what Lenin called "that cursed 'Aesopian' language."

According to the radical World Without War Council: "The Peace Action Symbol was designed on February 21, 1958 for use in the first Aldermaston Easter Peace Walk in England.

A less guarded commentary on the origin and meaning of this symbol appeared in Win magazine, an official publication of the subversive War Resisters League. On Page twenty-seven of Win for October 1, 1969, we read that the "Nuclear Disarmament Symbol" was "adopted immediately by Hugh Brock and Pat Arrowsmith on behalf of the Direct Action Committee Against Nuclear War (London) who initiated and organized the first Aldermaston March at Easter of that year [1958] ." According to the authoritative Intelligence Digest, both Brock and Arrowsmith have for years been affiliated with Communist enterprises in Europe.

Elaborating on this theme, Win explains that in creating the initial design:

The first mark on paper was a white circle against a black square. This was followed by various versions of Christian crosses drawn within the white "spere" [sic] on a black background and these in turn gave way to the final ND form .... but reversed D over N.

Immediately following the "First March" (there had been previous small scale Aldermaston demonstrations} an ND badge version of the Symbol was devised and made by Eric Austen. Eric's researches into the origins of symbolism confirmed that the "gesture of despair" motif has been associated through ancient history with the "death of man," and the circle with the "unborn child" .... THE DEATH OF MAN??????????

Apparently the "N" and "D" were an afterthought. That explanation came later. The design is a product of careful research of ancient symbolism - especially various forms of the Christian cross. But, what these propagandists of the War Resisters League (2) do not say is that the design was adopted from one initiated by the infamous Bertrand Russell.

random acts of beauty = I must be doing something right

Tuesday: someone I hardly know buys me a much needed book as a gift, simply because I express wanting it. This has never happened before.

Wednesday: a new friend tells me she loves me. She said that when she returns from her trip, she wants to hear every detail of everything I did, every day she was gone. a few days later, she flirts shamelessly on email.

Thursday: I step outside to view my friend's backyard at her new rental, and am eye to eye with a gorgeous doe. She bolts past a stand of 3 redwoods and is gone. I am in Hayward, CA.

Friday: An old man knocks on my back door. It's always the interesting people who brave the alley when they arrive for the first time.

Saturday: I am given another book, this time a gift from a friend's long distance fiance who has just arrived from a 17 hour drive. It is called "The Sound of Paper" by Julia Cameron. The cover alone makes me feel content.

Sunday: at midnight, my partner and I begin to slowly and quietly rearrange the entire apartment, so as not to wake the neighbors. There is something gentle and mellowing about doing it this way. It is also better for our backs. in the daytime, it would have been stressful.

Monday 5:16 am...I am shivering as the morning train whistle blows. I think of so many people sleeping all around me, and feel safe. I feel a cool draft from the open window. I am fine.

The soft orange color of the sun slowly rising as I step into the old S-10..... turn the ignition for that old worn out sound it gives me.... Roll down the windows and wonder if this will be the last trip I make... If this will be, then I'm sure I would be happy if I died today... I put the old s-10 in reverse and take out of the driveway and go...

As I sat, typing to a friend on an early Thursday morning... she said something was beautiful and I thought and replied:

"When I hear someone use the word beautiful, I'm inclined to think about all the other stuff and things/stuff/people/everything that I think is beautiful. And then by the end of it, I just feel, am, and just want to say that everything is so goddamn beautiful. Including yourself and others that I'm speaking to at the time when beautiful is mentionned.

Beautiful is a beautiful word. Truely psychedelic.

Or maybe its just me and I'm crazy."

We continued on chatting... and I concluded...

"Beauty is such a fuzzy (logic and otherwise) thing."

Just thought I'd share this on my first day/post to this tribe.

beautiful moments

Im sure that everyone has beautiful moments in their life. Why not share them ?

One of mine..
Happened two and half years ago. It was warm summer night and me and some of my friends were having magicial time..
Somehow I got lost and end up to this beuatiful garden which I had never seen before. There was one tree which looked visually like letter Y. I claimb to crotch of that tree, closed my eyes and fell in sleep in a matter of seconds. Not a sincle bed has ever been so pleasant. Which makes this moment so special is that I never had a courage to claimb to tree when I was a child. Everyone else did. Over twenty years later I finally did and child inside me smiled like never before. And it felt like I can never been closer to nature. It was perfect. When I woke up I was still smiling, I admired few moments the beuaty of that garden from the tree, came down and walked away ..and this song was playing inside my head: (which is one of those song of happiness to me..) : "It´s just another day..just another day..like any other day..."

"Today, on the bus, I saw the most beautiful thing in the world.

This old asian couple got on the bus, looking completely oblivious to the outside world, faces old and worn, years of knowledge between them. They sat down, side by side and looked directly at eachother, they reached out, and held hands, and just smiled, staring at eachother. I started to cry. It was love, real love.

The world is a lovely place, I just keep forgetting."

Creating Beauty and Abundance in Our World!

Directed thought is the keynote to psychic activity-- and each thought you think (that inner voice) has an immensely poweful energy.

I like to listen to affirmations while meditating, just before bed, or when I first wake up in the morning. I have particular affirmations recorded onto a digital tape recorder, for my convenience.. I am passing this on, because since I started doing this very easy transformative work, my life has improved considerably for the better! And hey, if you believe in it, it will work for you too!!

My favorite affirmations are found on this web site:

On the site, the affirmations for "Clearing Blockages" are of particular use to me, though others may be best for you, of course.

Aside from what is on the website, some affirmation suggestions are-- but I am sure your own are just as lovely!

Courage: "I am one with the universe and safe at all times."

Employment: "Perfect Work for Perfect Pay is coming my way."

Love:" I love the world and it loves me."

Success: "Abundance and Success now come to me in endless ways."

Happiness: "I am balanced, joyful, happy, radiant, and detached from any fear."

Prosperity: "The universe is an endless source of abundance which pours its wealth upon me."

Once you have learned to harness the power of positive thought, you'll find yourself on a stairway to success. You can use this extraordinary tecnique to improve every aspect of your life, to help you get a better job, to improve your talents, or to bring radiant good health, or to plain and simply bring more love and joy into your life...

For me, I've found it to be true that just by using this simple system, you can implement a concentrated mental force to free your self from any negative thought patterns..
Seeing is believing. If you don't believe it, just play the part of the curious scientist and see what happens---

When at first becoming conscious about being more positive, if you are not doing this already... it is important to just listen to yourself as you speak knowing that it is best not to start a sentence with, "I am sorry." Or "Knowing my luck..." ( I still have to watch this, and turn it off!)

Also, I have learned that if you "bad mouth" someone ( oh, I have been bitten many times, and had to put my foot almost down my throat-- learned the hard way), because if you do, that particular energy will come back to you. The ol' you reap what you sew bit. Everyone has good qualities so use your psychic energy to identify each person's good qualities.

Also I am learning not to be drawn to negative conversations ( though I do intermittently get stuck there and have to pull myself out of that trap).

Also, it is important to remember that while positive thought is magically affirmative thinking, it can not be used as a panacea for all ills. It should never be used as a form of mental brainwashing to hide or deny pain, thus burrying the pain deeper only for it to come up later...

I was drivin' in the ol' concrete jungle the other day when i saw a really old dog walking down the sidewalk, all of a sudden the ol' bag a bones stepped right in front of the car in front of me and WAAAAAM the dog goes flying through the air! and as I'm watching it I notice what a beautiful day it was, the shape of a bunny up in the clouds with a blue backdrop ah life is great aint it?.........so I knew that this was the tribe for me!

wow - i needed something today to remind me of beauty - and I have been moved to tears by the wonderful sentiments in this tribe.

today I travelled out of town on a road a friend of mine had died on, when she crashed her motorcycle...I was apprehensive adn afraid of passing the spot...

the road was so lovely, with gum trees and clear air and a golden light...I relaised she rode this road all the way home when she completed her journey.

It was a beautiful road, and as I will be driving it weekly, I will ttry not to fear or to think of the violence of death, but the extraordinary power of that last moment of life - how crystalline that instant must be...

I was jogging around Dolores Park in SF this morning right about sunrise - and it gave everything the most beautiful pink color. For those of you familiar with it (perhaps I should post a photo), from the southwest corner of this very small park you get the most fabulous view of San Francisco imaginable, and in the morning sunrise it all looks so clean and peaceful and vibrant.

Anyone else see (or hear!) anything beautiful today? In everyday life it is so easy to overlook those things with which we are familiar, but I think it is important that familiarity not overide beauty - renew your appreciation for the beautiful things around you!

Oh boy oh boy. Boys. Nature's candy. I simply can't resist, they are so sweet. Sugar frosted, sparkling candy coated candy apple, fake glitter snow, like shiny ruby red kisses. lick lick lick. I think that I could be so evil. I can bite right in to that shiny red candy apple, like on snow white. It's always in my mind. Hi Beautiful People! I'm new to Tribe.net and am really loving exploring all the neat folks and the things they like. Humans are fantastic creatures, indeed. One tribe I really like is the "Barefoot Walkers," and I wrote this last night for them.

A Woman's Ceremony

My feet
are neat
and show spirit's grounding
beside the river this autumn.
Sensitive and narrow,
I feel acutely the babbling brook next to which I stand.
And hesitate,
to feel the muddy squishing
of chilly mud between my toes.
A time of lovely cleansing.

An inch into the waters
and half and inch onto land,
the joyful pangs of the wet, wild flow
chill to the bone,
turning up the volume
on spirit's lively "Hello"
delivered by nature and a gift from the heart.

Birth and being birthed
United in the sands
